Meet The Optometrist

Dr. Vanessa C. Marino

Dr. Marino was born and raised in sunny Miami, FL.  She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Miami in 2003, and received her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University in 2007.  In 2008, she completed a residency in primary care and pediatrics/binocular vision. Besides loving her career, Dr. Marino loves to teach. After completing her residency, she instructed and supervised optometry students at the Nova Southeastern University Pediatric Department in North Miami Beach until 2010.  She then served as an adjunct clinical professor for the New England College of Optometry until 2016.

Dr. Marino's commitment to Optometry continues to push her to greater education in order to optimize her patients' care and her students' learning.  In  2014 she became certified to administer Orthokeratology to her pediatric population for Myopia Management. Additionally, Dr. Marino specializes in Specialty Contact Lenses for patients who have Keratoconus, Post Corneal Transplants, Dry Eyes, and other corneal irregularities.   


Dr. Carolina Pedroletti

Dr. Pedroletti joined Marino Eye Care in June 2020, specializing in General Optometry and Contact Lenses. Dr. Pedroletti is qualified to identify and treat eye diseases. She is trained in prescribing specialty contact lenses for myopia control, astigmatism, keratoconus, post-surgery, and multifocal needs. She has more than 15 years of experience and is committed to providing personalized care by spending the necessary time with each patient to ensure a comfortable experience.

Dr. Carolina Pedroletti was raised in South Florida and graduated from Gulliver Preparatory. At the University of Florida, Dr. Pedroletti received a Bachelor of Science with Honors. She continued her studies at Nova Southeastern University and received a Doctorate of Optometry in 2005. Dr. Carolina Pedroletti is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association.


Dr. Angelica M. Cifuentes

Dr. Angelica Cifuentes was born in Colombia and raised in Miami. Dr. Cifuentes found her passion for optometry in 2009 after shadowing and becoming a mentee of Dr. Vanessa Marino.  Since then she has worked in the optometry field until ultimately achieving her goal of becoming an optometrist. She attended Florida International University and graduated with a Bachelors in Science degree in 2017. She then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry and graduated in May of 2022. Dr. Cifuentes' clinical training include diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, contact lenses, low vision, pediatric and geriatric eye exams as well as comprehensive primary eye care.

She completed her internship rotations at Vision Care and Surgery Associates and Aran Eye Associates in Miami. 
Dr. Cifuentes is a board-certified optometrist, a member of the American Optometric association and the Florida Optometric association. 
In her spare time she loves spending time with family, going to the gym, and sharing her optometry journey on social media.
